This speedy fellow was in my path on my way to camp. In fact, it seemed as though he (she?) and his entire extended family was out for a morning stroll - I think it must have been the night time rains that drew them out. Whatever the case, I luckily had my camera and snapped this shot!

Tiny Bubbles!
Bubble makers are the most fun. Well, maybe they're a close third behind cotton candy machines and photo booths, but even still - bibles bring out the child in everyone...even children. Just another day at the camp play ground with the bubble maker.

Paint-a-pot
Went with the camp to a local pottery painting place. The kids had all made creations the week before and they got to paint their items and have them fired in the kiln. It was fun to go around taking pictures of them and their concentrated faces.
Broken Lady Bug
Everyday is nature day at Step into Summer Camp! I can't remember who found this lady bug (who is missing most of one wing) but the kids were fascinated by her. They were fascinated by almost anything that moved - I guess that's what happens when you're 4. Do broken lady bugs still bring you luck?
Bride to Be!
Nothing like a bachelorette party at Foxwoods to...well, I'm not really sure what I can divulge, let's just say a good time was had by both brides. Bethany liked this picture of her (taken at the Hard Rock Cafe at the beginning of the evening) and so did I. Besides, there's nothing incriminating in it, and that's a good thing, right?
Boston at Night
I took this picture as I left the Fenway area. I wish I'd had my nice camera with me, but I love how a car drove by and I was able to capture the trail of lights.
Freedom Trail
Took this as the Boston Pride parade finished up. It was sort of a rainy gloomy day, but that didn't put a damper on the festivities. I'm not in love with this shot, but I like how Kings Chapel is in the background - a location that has likely seen many historical events and changes during its 250 year history!

Scooper Bowl!
This was the 25th anniversay of the Scooper Bowl - an all you can eat ice cream event to benefit the Jimmy Fund. I recruited my brother and two others to join me and we managed to plow our way through quite a bit of ice cream (as evidenced by the cups we went through) before feeling as though we were going to die. As my brother Christopher put it "one could turn diabetic in an afternoon at this event!"
Bee
Yet another picture captured in the public gardens. I hadn't realized how often they change out the flower beds there! I caught a few of this bee on these beautiful flowers, but I liked this one best as it shows the bee and flower pretty nicely.
Bulldog Boy
Saw this little boy on campus during reunion weekend. If bulldogs were human, I imagine they woudl look like this little boy. He saw me taking his picture and flashed me this grin (?). He reminds me of my brother when he was little - a little bruiser!
Amherst Baseball
I went to Amherst College with Becca for her 5th Reunion. I took this picture as we went down to the baseball field to watch the old geysers play a game against one another. If you're ever around the Amherst campus, I suggest you take a walk around - it's beautiful!
Catepillar
Had to get way down on the ground to capture this shot of the catepillar (centepede, millepede?). It had some great colorful markings on it's back, which can barely be seen from this angle. Hopefully no one stepped on this little guy after I was done with him!

Garage Door
I love this door. I'm not sure why, but I do. It's right next to one of my favorite restaurants in PTown, Bubbalas.
Boy Hawk
I had seen this little boy a few times around Provincetown - and when I finally ran into him (and his barely visable purple mowhak) I asked to take his picture. I think he was tired, and had maybe been crying, but he smiled moments afterward as the girl with him offered him a hug, kiss and a tickle!
Boat
We had a great Memorial Day weekend on the Cape with friends. I snaped this one as we spent the day on the beach. I wanted to take the same picture again when the tide went out, but I forgot.
Cape Cod Sunset
Snapped this one off of the balcony of 539 Commercial Street in Provincetown - aka the condo that is two miles away, but worth the walk at least once, maybe twice. It was more striking in person, but all I had was my little point and shoot, and a quick second to take the picture before the sun sank behind the trees.
Boston Pops
Becca, my parents and I went to the Boston Pops for Boston College night. I really enjoyed the show as they did "A Tribute to Oscar and Tony" and played a whole night of showtunes. Highlights were the overature from The Sound of Music and the MBTA song with video accompanyment. All night though we could see balloons being held near the ceiling -finally at the end of the night thy let them go - much to my mothers delight - she had alot of fun popping them!
BC Graduation
Graduates! My (baby) brother graduated from BC. My parents are glad because they no longer have to pay tuition. The BC Commencement was a long drawn out affair, but at least we had nice weather!
North End Lamppost
Went to dinner with the family in the North End. Though there is a lot of "noise" in this picture, it was my favorite that I took that night.
Prudential
Unsuccessfully looking for J.Crew, I happened into the Prudential Mall. I took this one from inside of the Prudential Tower.
Penn Station
I had to take a quick trip (up and back in one day) to get a root canal in NYC. My train was delayed heading back to Boston, so I got to spend a couple unexpected hours in Penn Station. I was trying to capture some movement in the picture, but the people didn't really cooperate.
Softball
I took this one of Becca at her softball game. She made it to third! I can't remember if she scored on the play, but boy does she look ready!
Lars Anderson Park
Always up for a picnic, Becca and I went to Lars Anderson Park in Brookline. It ended up being too cold and windy for us to sit out for long, but I managed to snap a few pictures of the Boston skyline.

Flower
Becca and I took a dinner and dessert walk - to get sushi and milkshakes. I captured this one on the way home. There was a beautiful garden in someones front yard, and I set my camera to macro and shot this blindly as I didn't want to step into the garden to take then shot. I love the way it turned out, especially the colors of the flower.
Flour
This was taken at the Back Bay Upper Crust. If you haven't tried Upper Crust pizza here in Boston, I highly reccomend it. Most pizza in Boston is plain bad (growing up in NJ I'm used to good NY pizza) but Upper Crust makes the cut.
Newbury Church
I really like the composition of this shot, though I almost wish the sign on the lightpost was legible. I can't decide if I like the people in the shot, or wish they weren't there. Oh well!
Red Bike
This bike is outside a store on Newbury Street. I really wanted to make this photo black and white and leave the bike red. I'm hoping Becca can work some photo shop magic on it later on, but decided to post it anyway.
BC Ice Cream
I just snapped this one as I walked through the Alumni Stadium on my way to class one day. Who knew BC had thier own ice cream thingys. Notice the super-imposed eagle. I was impressed. I guess when you're an ACC school you get this kind of support for your concession stand.
Men on Benches
Obviously Kyle was moving too fast for the camera on this one! Kyle and Kevin were sitting out on the benches outside Vinny T as we waited for the rest of our lab section to come and join us for dinner. They're both laughing, I wonder if somone told a funny joke...
Save!
I used to coach the UNH lacrosse team. I haven't be able to catch many of their games, but I caught this one against Harvard. Unfortunately Harvard won. As an Eli, I hate Harvard - always and in everything. Too bad the weather was miserable too. I really want a telephoto lens to capture the action up close, but for now, I think this one came out pretty well!

StuDYING
My apologies to all you loyal readers out there. I have a few more pictures to post, but largely over the past week (and for the upcoming week) I have largely been without my camera in hand. You see, it is the end of the semester and finals here at BC. So though I still stop to see the beauty in every day, my time is mostly taken up doing things like I am seen doing in this picture (courtesty of Becca). So I hope you'll hang with me over the next few days until I can get back in the groove shooting and posting. Be well!

Plane Pee
Hancock Tower. Downtown Boston. Plane...Pee? Likely not. I believe there is some scientific formula regarding temperature and condensation or something like that. I wish I hadn't had to shoot into the sun for this shot, but I think its striking all the same.
Pretty Tree
This tree was next to a lookout tower at the Quabbin Reservoir. I just love this tree. I had shot it at a number of angles, but I like the way it looks back-lit in this one. The miniscule person to the left is Becca.
Scoring the Game
Becca likes to score baseball games. She also likes to make sure she sits in one spot when the Yankees play, and if they're winning, she hates to move. My making her come to bed was the reason the Sox beat the Yankees on Friday.
Marathon Trash
I took a bunch of shots of runners, but the picture was the most appealing to me. Becca and I went to the Red Sox game [thanks Laura!] and then walked up Beacon Street to watch the marathon on our way home. The marathon was awesome. If I didn't hate running, I would run it next year. I did cheer for lots of people however, and will hopefully do so again next year.
BC Stain Glass
This shot was taken in the BC Bapst Library. I went there to study, but didn't end up getting too much done. I'm a major procrastinator, so usually I don't get things done unless it's the last minute.

Rain
Rain. It's been doing a lot of that here in Boston lately. I guess what they say about April showers is true. Luckily for me I own a good raincoat and pair of rainpants...the umbrella I have though leaves something to be desired and if the rain continues, I'll have to buy a new and improved one - you know, one that might actually keep the rian out.
I took this shot in my apt, of the rain that had settled (or pounded on) the screen window.
Stage Fort
I had trouble picking a shot from the many I took in Gloucester on Saturday. We went to the North Shore to check out locations for our wedding, and ended up wandering around Stage Fort park and taking a a bunch of pictures. Something about this one just speaks to me - wondering the people that have sat on those benches overlooking the ocean, and the conversations that have been had there.
PawSox
Becca and I - along with our friends Kyle and Kim went to the PawSox (the Red Sox AAA affiliate) game in Pawtucket, RI on Friday night. It sure was cold, but luckily the non stop rain we've been getting stopped long enough for them to get the game in. The Sox lost, but that made Kim and Becca (Yankees fans) happy as they were playing the SWB Yankees. It was the PawSox opening night and I think they were still working out the kinks as buying a hot dog took over half an hour, and the cracker jack man had to be hunted down, but overall, a good time was had by everyone.
Rain and the BC Professor
Becca just yelled at me for not updating my blog, so here it is. And for her, and all others who were annoyed I apologize. I've found now that I've been snapping away with the Rebel I've uploaded SO many pictures to flickr that photo management is becoming an issue. I'll have to be better at "organizing" them some how.
On to the picture. It was SO gross and rainy at BC on Thursday. I protected myself and my camera with the libraries roof and took this one of a BC professor (my assumption) scurrying somewhere while trying to stay dry. I had hoped to catch a shot of the masses between classes, but I myself had to get to class and couldn't hang around that long.

Pretty Flowers...
Continuing with the theme of Disney movies, the title of this one comes from Babmi when the skunk, flower, comments on the flowers. I took these with my new camera (Rebel Xti) which I LOVE. I went out snapping shots for the afternoon. There were so many pretty flowers up - too bad the weather hasn't gotten the hint that it's supposed to warm up.
Pick Me! Pick Me!
This is an homage to both the movie Toy Story and my fruit snacks. I was eating my toy story fruit snacks in the library, and found my little foil package to be abundant with the little green aliens (from the scene with the big claw). Though the aliens were resistent to standing, I was able to get them all upright simultaneously for just long enough to take this picture. The, I promptly ate the one that kept falling over....and all of his friends.

Secret Cornbread
Becca made cornbread (trader joes!) and chili last night for a late dinner when I got home from class at 10. It's so delicious. It involves a family secret which I am now privy to, but I am afraid that if I share it with all of you I will be disowned, so for now you'll all just have to enjoy a picture of it.
Easter Sunday
This is my church at home - St. Lukes where I attended Easter Sunday services with my mom and brother. My dad is an Episcopalian priest, so he was doing services at his own church (not the one we grew up attending). During the service the light was really shining through the stained glass, but I like how the lighting here highlights the cross. The flowers that lined the altar near the choir stalls were beatiful as well, but my pictures of them didn't come out quite as nicely!
Cupcakes
Saturday I went up to Yale to watch them play (and beat!!!) Princeton in a great lacrosse game. It was a big upset and the first time in forever that Yale has beaten both Princeton and Dartmouth in the same season. I took this picture at the tailgate after the game. Yale Lacrosse tailgates are not your run of the mill grill and hot dog affairs. Though there was everything from sushi to steak, but the cupcakes were the most eye catching thing to take a picture of.
Tickling the Ivory
88 keys! I was at my parents house in NJ for Easter weekend, and searched for things to take a picture of. The lighting in the room was not ideal for the picture, but I like the pespective in the shot.

NYC!
Continuing with the theme of snapping shots while in a moving vehicle, I took this one as I left Port Authority in NYC on the bus to NJ. I regret not having taken more shots in the city.
NYC Driveby
I took the train from Boston to NJ to go home for the easter holiday. I'm not quite sure which bridge this is (though I believe at that point in the trip it was going over the East River). I kept shooting out of the train window trying to capture an interesting shot of the lights. I wanted to capture the play of lights and movement, and I think I captured this a little bit with this shot.
